Do you know that you have digital assets?
Digital assets are defined as things like your online accounts, social networking channels, email addresses, cloud storage, PayPal or other financial information plus your hard drive which stores and saves your private information including financial information.
What happens to these when you die?
When preparing your Will, you should also prepare an inventory of all of the information, user names and passwords, store it securely but making sure that it is easily accessible to those who have been given your permission to use. You should consider whether or not to include a separate clause in your Power of Attorney in relation to your digital assets. Bambrick Legal can advise you as to the best way to protect the assets for your estate.
